Ur My Type is an app that uses personality types to match compatible people. It can be used to make friends and/or as a dating app. We use our personality test, which is inspired by the 16 personalities test, to match people online in a more meaningful way.

We are turning the tables on the conventional friend finding and dating app model and adding what's actually needed: A way to be matched with people based on personality types.

This works in 3 simple steps:

1. You first take our personality test to find out your own personality type.
2. You then take our compatibility test to find out the personality type of your ideal match.
3. We show you potential matches who are compatible with you!

Our personality and compatibility tests are inspired by the 16 personalities test, which uses psychometric testing to classify people into 16 personality types as follows:

The four letters in the 16 personality types above stand for the following:

E: Extrovert
I: Introvert
N: Intuitive
S: Sensing
T: Thinking
F: Feeling
P: Perceiving
J: Judging

The HR departments of more than 75% of Fortune 500 companies use a personality test that is in one way or another a variation of the 16 personalities test. At Ur My Type, we are pioneering the application of the 16 personalities in the context of a friend finding and dating app.

We have discovered that our app concept is quite appealing to introverted people. Currently, our data shows that 65% of our users are introverts. There might be more extroverts than introverts in society, but on our app the opposite is true!
